Arriving

Friday, July 1, 2011

Before leaving New Orleans, we headed to Cafe du Monde for the infamous beignets and extra strong coffee.  There are some very cute shops in that area so I snuck in a few.

Then we got on the road to Florida.  As did about a million others.  Traffic was ....well, what you would expect on the Friday before the Fourth of July heading to the beach?  So the 4 hour drive took us at least 5 1/2.  I am good for about 5 hours in the car.  So that last half hour may have been hard on the other passengers.

Finally in Florida.

Almost there.

Friday and Saturday were about getting everybody there....and by there, I mean picked up from the Panama City Beach airport...a two hour round trip from the beach house...and safely to the house.
Some flew in on Friday evening...others on Saturday.
By Saturday, all the birds were in the beach nest.
