So I basically followed him around the store to get one more good look at him and then went up to him and asked him if he would take a picture with us. And he graciously said yes.....
And tonight he is on American Idol.

Me and Smokey Robinson
In the spring of 2006, I went to New York City with Catha and her boys. The first night there, we checked into our hotel then walked next door to a drugstore. A tall, good looking man walked by me with the lightest green eyes and brightest teeth. I knew him. I knew that he was someone famous. I KNEW him....but I couldn't think of his name. I went up to the young clerk and asked her if she knew who he was....she didn't and then, then it came to me! It was Smokey Robinson.....Motown....my childhood music.....Tears of a Clown.
So I basically followed him around the store to get one more good look at him and then went up to him and asked him if he would take a picture with us. And he graciously said yes.....

You must be watching American Idol! I bet Smokey loved having his photo taken with us in NYC!
ReplyDeleteHoly Smokes!!!! I was talking to Matt about him while we were watching Idol the other night. I was trying to guess how old he is. I told Matt that I know he's way older than he looks but he looks really good. Very natural, even if he's had work done it's workin' for him. He so beautiful and you and Catha look pretty good with him. I bet that he'd be closer to a "gimme" than the dude in AZ.
